Well Blocks
Well blocks are high density precast refractory designed for use in ladles to house the inner nozzle or purging plug. They are highly refractory with excellent erosion and corrosion resistance during production.
AJF Inc. uses both Magnesia-Alumina spinel, no-cement, high alumina and high alumina, low-cement castables for its well blocks. They can also contain stainless steel fibers or be fired as per the customer’s needs. The type of castable used will depend on the resistance requirements due physical and slag management.
